The Sun: the Only SAFE Nuclear Reactor

What Are the Vertical Lines?!

There are some people that will be deterred by the fact that we have nuclear weapons...
But those people are the folks we can deal with anyway.

- General Charles Horner

Smiling is very important.  If we are not able to smile, then the world will not have peace.
It is not by going out for a demonstration against nuclear missiles that we can bring about peace.
It is with our capacity of smiling, breathing, and being peace that we can make peace.

- Thich Nhat Hanh

What is the vantage point from whence this photo was taken?  And where is it?

I cannot say.

Comments: Those vertical lines are the contrails left by rockets being launched just prior to the nuclear explosion.  The lines give the observers an idea of how rapidly the explosion is expanding.  This is used for scientific data collection.
