The animation from whence this frame is taken was made by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory.  It focuses on various locations of the world ocean, showing the major current systems (Agulhas current, Brazil current, Gulf Stream, Pacific Equatorial current, Kuroshio current).
