This is the first (and so far only) website I've ever done (although Cody and Wolf now have websites of their own - see www.chaos.net.nz/cody and www.flatrock.org.nz/wolf). The experience has been enlightening. It has proven to be both harder and easier than I had expected. It was easier to get it up than I anticipated but keeping it running - the pages updated with new information and maintained in a relatively error-free condition - requires a surprising amount of time. Worse than maintenance is getting visitors to leave some record of their passage through the site. This has proven virtually impossible. Certainly I can
understand - I don't even allow cookies on my computer. I browse the Internet on tiptoe, trying to leave no footprints. This website is visited by lots of
unitholders. We may not all know each other but we do have more in common than just the fact that we have access to computers. |
